When not behind the grill, Eric, his wife Shannon and two daughters love to travel the world in search of the greatest golf courses around. The family also has a huge heart for mission work and giving back to their community in Northern Colorado. When you come into Nordy’s BBQ & Grill they treat you like family, because family means everything to the Nordhagens.

2008-2024:
Nordy's BBQ & Grill

The savory recipes on tables today were first tasted with neighbors and friends as Eric worked tirelessly on creating his menu. Of course each mouth watering bite was thoroughly enjoyed and critiqued until each menu item was to Eric’s satisfaction. Nordy’s BBQ & Grill is the result of Eric’s high expectations to bring you the best BBQ in Northern Colorado.

1999-2004:
Hogan's Restaurant & Saloon

Water Valley’s original clubhouse bar and grill was the community watering hole nestled on Pelican Lakes Golf Course in Windsor, CO.  Eric owned an operated this hot spot, until the opportunity arose to build his own restaurant we now know as Nordy’s BBQ & Grill.

1997-1999:
Taco Bell

Eric bought the Taco Bell in Windsor, CO which was one of many that were added to the franchise portfolio he shared with his father, Les Nordhagen. 

1992-1997:
Bubba's Bar-B-Que

Father and son team, Les and Eric Nordhagen have been in this crazy restaurant business for 25 years. Les opened Bubba’s Bar-B-Que in 1992 and operated Bubba’s until 1998.  Les and Eric have both owned and operated numerous Taco Bell franchises over the last 30 years.   After college Eric joined his father at Bubba’s and worked for him until 1997.

Our Sampler Platter and Family Feast are just a couple of our show-stopping fan favorites that are sure to satisfy any appetite. Whether you dine-in, take-out or have us cater your event, you can rest assure that we put careful time into making your eating experience one worth remembering.

Rib Platter

All rib slabs are hand-rubbed and hickory smoked for up to 5 hours. We slather them with bbq sauce and seal in the flovor with a gentle flame kiss.

Kylee's Hot Mess

Created and named after Eric's oldest daughter, the Kylee's Hot Mess doesn't mess around. This burger patty is topped with cheese, queso, brisket and fried Nordy's Texas Toothpicks.

Ronnie's Brisket Dip

Tender beef brisket on a fresh hoagie with swiss cheese. Served with Nordy's Texas Toothpicks and au jus on the the side

Went to the lunch buffet, food was very good, the restaurant was very clean, staff was constantly cleaning and kept our drink full. The cornbread muffins were tasty. We will be going back again. Despite the parking lot being packed full, we walked in, we were seated right away. The potato salad and coleslaw were excellent.

Loved this place!! Incredibly friendly staff, cool vibe inside and the food was amazing!! Highly recommend the Cubano sandwich, sooo good. If we’re ever in the area again I would come back here in a heartbeat.
